I had a good weekend (wasn't sick once!) and I will tell you all about it later. First, I need your help in saving the BEST SHOW EVER. As usual, one of the television shows I love the most is on the chopping block. I'm like Charlie Brown and that goddamn football with these shows. I love, they cancel. I learn to love again, cancel. I am bitter, but slowly manage to become fond, CANCEL. Fuck. Anyway, the show in question is Pushing Daisies which, if you haven't watched it, is a lovely little twisted fairy tale of a show. It's brilliant and sweet and dark all at the same time. Last week's episode featured taxidermied guinea pigs pulling a covered wagon. I mean, COME ON. How can you not want to watch that? Please go here and sign the petition:

It probably won't work, but it's worth a shot. I mean, shit, what the hell else is ABC doing? Is anyone really watching Eli Stone? I'm not.
I'd sign the petition and everything? But Knight Rider 2008 is on in a minute, and I don't want to miss a single moment? Of pulse-pounding talking car action? Yeah.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, the word verification capcha for this comment is 'ductord'. You know you've got a bad health insurance policy when you're only covered for visits to a medical ductord.
And now the word verification is 'emenea'. Don't go the medical ductord because he prescribes an emenea for just about everything.
ReplyDeleteSnort. Aw, Palinode. Don't let that ductord give you an emenea.
ReplyDeleteI totally cried when they cancelled....hell, I can't even remember the name of the show. I rememeber Rosanna Arquette was in it and she made cupcakes. No wonder it was cancelled, I can't even remember the name!
ReplyDeleteI DIDN'T KNOW IT GOT AXED!!!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap. I just last week joined the Pushing Daisies fan page on Facebook.
Shitshitshit. Bastards.
I'm still not over the cancellation of Homefront 20 years ago or Jericho earlier this year.
I'll sign. I'll even send NUTS if it'll help.
BASTARDS.
Settle down! It's not axed yet, there's just speculation.
ReplyDeleteThe petition is up over 10,000 signatures. :o)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I stopped watching Pushing Daisies after a few episodes. I figured, this show is quirky, sweet, witty, and beautifully acted, unlike anything I've seen on television, and if each episode were a movie I'd pay to see it. Obviously, it's gonna get cancelled. So I gave it up, because after Freaks & Geeks, Due South, and Firefly, I just can't get involved with a show I know is going to break my heart when it gets axed!
ReplyDeleteI am signature #20,604. I DVR this show and love it. I find myself backing up to replay the dialogue fairly often though, mostly when they talkrealfast - without the DVR I'd probably get pretty frustrated with it. Maybe I'm just slow, though.
